I ran across this Sydney shop tour on Decor8, and it's as if the owners are my soul mates. I could spend hours in there, and buy everything. I might have to go to Australia just to visit davidmetnicole. But wait, they're online!

My one-stoplight hometown of Amherst, Virginia boasts little more than an outdated Food Lion, a dusty hardware store, and a library. It also now has one of the best little vintage stores I've run across— maybe because the prices are so good. If you're ever headed up 29 in Virginia, be sure to make a stop.

I bought '50s table linens, earrings, sparkly clothes, and more. I also bought a dress form, and I decided to branch out with my own vintage shop focused more on 1940s-60s, feminine pieces and housewares. I can't wait to show you my treasures!

I recently ran across an old Lucky article that lists the best websites you've probably never heard of. My on-a-budget self is having a hard time being good.

Filled with vintage and vintage-inspired finds from across Europe (but mainly France), I'm pretty sure Chicago's P.O.S.H. was made just for me.

The Curiosity Shoppe has a fun selection of stationery and a lot of other wacky, Modcloth-esque stuff.

Three Potato Four, based in Philadelphia, has everything from antique signs to kids stuff to wedding accessories. Warning: You probably can't afford anything.

I'm on a shopping high. I spent most of the day scouring thrift stores on the outskirts of town, looking for stuff for Stinge. I found four great cross-body bags, some shoes, and a few tops, but the prize of the day was a selfish find: a complete set of 1955 Homer Laughlin china. Maybe I don't need it, maybe I'm too young to get so excited about dishes, but I'm in love. Now I think I need a china cabinet.

When I'm not working at my day job at the Charleston City Paper, I like to do fun things, like shop. My co-worker Susan and I decided to turn our mutual love of thrifting into something lucrative, thus Stinge Vintage was born.

We've been amazed at the response from people both locally and around the world who apparently love our selection of affordable vintage clothes and housewares.
